How does off-plan payment work?

You usually reserve the property with a small fee, then pay a deposit and staged payments as construction progresses. The remaining balance is paid on completion, when the property is finished and ready to hand over.

Can I get a mortgage as a foreigner?

Yes, mortgages are available for freehold properties in approved areas of Dubai. Completed properties are easier to finance, while off-plan properties may have more limited options.
